Pastoral Care / Stephen Ministry

“Matt. 25:40 “Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.”

The Pastoral Care Team at Trinity is a group of caring people who have adopted the ministry of visitation to those who are unable to attend our worship services and other activities.   We visit them in their homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and other care facilities, bringing them news of their church and their friends.  

The Stephen Ministry - Is one-to-one ministry by trained, caring lay persons in which one person reaches out to another in a time of need.  Confidentiality is critical to Stephen Ministry which enables people to explore their feelings in a safe environment, without fear that something they say may get back to someone they know.  A Stephen Ministry relationship can last as little as a few weeks to several months depending on the need of the person.

The Stephen Ministry Group has incorporated its work into Pastoral Care, understanding that a parishioner in need of more than just a visit will be referred to a Stephen Minister.
