Visitors Guide to Sunday We are delighted to have you visit and worship with us at Trinity. We know that worshiping in a new church can be awkward at first, and we hope this information will help you feel at home and answer any questions you might have. We invite you to take part in all the services and programs Trinity has to offer. How to follow the Service As you enter the church, ushers distribute a bulletin that outlines the servie. Prayers referred to by page nubers are in the red Book of Common Prayer; hymns are either in the large blue Hymnal 1982 or in the red and black Lift every Voice and Sing II (LEVAS II). Communion All baptized Christians are welcome and invited to receive Communion. An usher will direct you to the alter at the appropiate time. If you wish communion to be brought to you at your seat, please let an usher know. Nursery A nursery is available for children under four years of age. It is located off the reception area through the double doors at the right front side of the nave. An usher or any parishioner will be glad to direct you. Children of all ages are always welcome in the service as well. Sunday Christian Education/Formation On Sunday morning, Trinity provides Christian education for both children and adults. For youngsters three years through third grade, the program is Godly Play using the Montessori style. Godly Explorers is a similar program designed for grades four through six. Grades seven through twelve use a program called Journey to Adulthood. Classes are held from 9 - 10 a.m., both upstairs and on the lower level in the Parish Hall. Ask an usher, the Rector or Associate or any parishioner to direct you to the right area. Each Sunday morning from 9 - 10 a.m. adults are invited to assemble in the St. Hilda room upstairs for the Adult Forum. Adult study topics generally vary by church season. The topics and schedule are available on the Education page. Coffee is available in the Reception Area to take to the Adult Forum or for those desiring to share in fellowship with other parishioners in the "No Class Class". |
