This is a special weekly program for Lent, offered Sunday afternoons, so that choir members, daytime drivers, and people with no evenings available have an opportunity for study and reflection during the forty days of Lent. Each week stands alone, and offers an introduction to a Lenten practice and an opportunity to explore it for yourself. You are invited to take part in any or all these offerings

  • SUNDAYS, Feb. 21 – Mar. 28, 9 AM

  • Words from the Cross

We will explore the Seven Last Words of Jesus” found in the four Gospels, as well as the development of the Stations of the Cross. This program will take place during the Sunday school hour, as the Adult Forum.

  • WEDNESDAYS, 2/24 – 3/24, 10 AM
  • Soup ‘n’ Scripture

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study will take a different approach for Lent, studying a book, He Walked in Galilee, and reflecting on the passages from Holy Scripture that show Jesus’ journey to the Cross. Perhaps you can take time for this short-term study as your Lenten discipline. Except for Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, soup and bread will follow.

  • SUNDAY, Mar. 21, 10:15 AM
  • LENTEN SKETCHES
  • With choral music, readings, and reflections on sacred art depicting the life and death of Jesus, we will have the opportunity to prepare in a unique way for Holy Week, which begins with Palm Sunday, Mar. 28
