Worship Information

  • Anglican Online Hymnal - This site is an online hymnal which will eventually contain over 3000 texts and MIDI files as used in many parts of the Anglican Communion throughout the world. Included are public domain texts from twelve Anglican hymnals used in the second half of the twentieth century (and still used today).
  • Book of Common Prayer - A wonderful site showing all of the Prayer Books from the beginning of the Episcopal Church in America.
  • Episcopal Church Calendar of the Church Year - The full year showing the festivals and feasts honoring the Saints.
  • The Cyber Hymnal - This site has over 2,400 Christian hymns and Gospel songs from many denominations. You'll find lyrics, scores, MIDI files, pictures, history, and more. This worship and teaching resource is provided as a public service.
  • The Daily Office - Welcome! The Online Daily Office exists to give busy people a way to particpate in Morning and Evening Prayer including the readings and psalms for each day (along with a bit of music!).
  • The Lectionary - A collection of Lectionary resources for the Episcopal Church.

Educational

  • Godly Play - is a method of Christian education and spiritual direction primarily for children aged 2- 12. The goal of Godly Play is to teach children the art of using religious language, parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence around them and in their lives.
  • The Journey to Adulthood - a new program designed to help young people make the transition from childhood to adulthood. The program is based on age appropriate activites and provides support for each other.
  • EfM is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, usually once a week, in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors. The program grants a certificate at the completion of the four years and 18 Continuing Education Units for each year's work.
  • DOCC Program This program is a mix of ordained leaders and trained lay leaders or moderators. The course consists of 26 weekly presentations on our faith. A good program for newcomers and old timers alike. The course was transfered to the National Cathedral from the Unversity Of the South, School of Theology
  • Gateway Paseo Con Cristo - Pasco Con Cristo literally translated means "A Walk With Christ", and is a program of Spiritual renewal for both laypersons and clergy. Through our program of three day weekends hundreds of Christians have discovered, or rediscovered, renewal in Christian faith.

OutReach

  • Welcome to Stephen Ministries ... a transdenominational Christian education organization that provides high quality training and resources to strengthen and expand lay ministry in congregations.
  • Project Backpack - serves the children who are the silent victims of domestic violence. We provide emergency services by furnishing area police departments, social service agencies, domestic violence shelters and Department of Family Services workers with backpacks for children who are removed from their homes, usually with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
  • Episcopal City Mission - This is the only chaplaincy program authorized to serve the youth in juvenile detention centers for St.Louis City and County and at Lakeside Center for Boys and Girls.
  • Episcopal Habitat for Humanity Project - is a wonderful site that shows the level of support for the annual Habitat project sponsored by the local churches to build housing for the needy families in St. Louis area.
  • United Thank Offering (UTO) - It is the mission of the United Thank Offering to raise the consciousness of the whole church to the daily discipline of offering thanks to God through the use of the blue box and to distribute the fruits of those thank offerings.
  • The Heifer Project - Heifer International is a nonprofit organization that works to alleviate hunger, poverty, and environmental degradation. Heifer helps imporverished families become self-reliant by providing food and income producing animals and training. Since 1944, Heifer has helped more than 4 million families in 128 countries. Familes "pass on the gift" by giving one or more of their animal's offspring to another family in need.
  • The Salvation Army - provides need support in times of crisis or disaster. Over the years they have always been there in time of need. We provide a place for food donations to be gathered on a weekly basis. Please stop by and bring a can or two.
  • St. Louis Children's Hospital - a child's place of healing for all types of disease or injury. We collect money to provide games and toys for the kids undergoing treatment. SLCH is one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country.
